Fall Car Care: 5 Tips to Preserve Your Vehicle's Paint

Taking care of your car's paint during the Fall months is crucial. Fall often brings unpredictable weather, with rain, leaves, and harsher conditions that can wreak havoc on your car's exterior. Here are some tips to help you preserve your paint during this beautiful time of the year:
1. Keep it Clean: Make sure to keep your car clean by giving it a good wash. Get rid of all the dirt, leaves, and other stuff that gets stuck on the outside. You can use a gentle car wash solution such as  Inex Car Care Super Suds and a high pile microfiber towel to keep your car looking shiny and new.
2. Protect it: Ceramic Coatings form a protective layer on the paint that shields it from dirt, tree sap, bird droppings, and nasty little scratches that can destroy the clear coat on your vehicle. There are plenty of DIY friendly products on the market including the Graphene Ceramic Coating offered by Inex. These products are applied by simply wiping down the paint with a plush microfiber towel after a nice wash.  The few minutes it takes to spray and buff the product are worth it for the added protection and shine that lasts throughout the season.
3. Watch out for Fallen Leaves: What is Fall without those colorful leaves? But, they can cause serious problems for your paint. Leaves can stick to your car and even cause stains and mildew that, if left for long periods, can destroy the clear coat of your paint. Be sure to clean them off regularly. Grab a soft cloth or a brush and gently remove those leaves before they cause any damage.
4. Avoid Sticky Situations: Tree sap and bird droppings can be detrimental to your car's paint if you leave them there for too long. If you discover sap or bird droppings on your car, you can use the Inex All Purpose cleaner or a similar product to get rid of both. Just remember to wash the area afterward to keep your paint in top shape.
5.  Give it Some Cover: If you're not driving your car much during Fall or if you need to park it for a while, consider using a car cover. It'll protect your car's paint from all of the elements discussed above that can reduce its shine. Just make sure to choose a breathable cover so it doesn't trap moisture.
Implement these tips this season and you'll be caring for your car's paint like a Pro!
